Fremont County Iowa Veterans Affairs
Serving Those Who Served
We are committed to providing veterans and their dependents the benefits and services they have earned by serving in our country's military. We can provide Fremont County wartime veterans with emergency assistance if they are unable to meet their basic needs. We also provide assistance to veterans and their dependents in filing for federal benefits.
You will need to have a copy of your discharge papers (DD Form 214) when you come in to register or apply for any benefits. If you don't have a copy, we will be glad to assist you in obtaining a duplicate.
We now have a veterans outpatient clinic in Shenandoah. It is located at 2043 A Avenue. The phone number is (712) 246-0092. The Veterans Affairs Commission meets the last Wednesday of each month. For more information, click the links on the left side of page.
